These surface gauges are handy, well proportioned and rigid. Composed of a heavy, cast iron base and a mild steel rod supporting a scriber which has tempered points. Common sizes are listed below but gauges with longer spindles, up to 1000mm in the round base and 2000mm in the square base are available upon request.

Combination sets are useful for all types of mechanical jobs. The set is comprised of a straight protractor is graduated to read from zero to 180 in both directions. The rule is made of stainless steel and is graduated in both 0.5mm and 1mm increments. The square head has a level and a scriber point. The protractor head, center head, and square head are all made of cast iron.

Recommended for use where extreme accuracy is required. Base and blades are hardened, ground and lapped to insure that the square has a straight, parallel setup. 1st and 2nd grades are available according to their tolerance. Non-graduated types are most commonly used but graduated types are also available upon request.

For carpenters or machinists use. Made of polished tool steel and graduated in 1mm increments.

Precision made of fine tool steel to industrial standards. The surface is ground and planed to a smooth surface. Perfect for use as a straight edge or as a level to check if surfaces are flat. The types shown above, the standard (rectangular) and beveled edge types without graduation are most common. Other types such as a fold out or I-beam straight edge with graduations are also available upon request.

A chemical paste used with oil gauging tape for measuring the presence of various types of oils. The colour of the paste will generally change from light blue to red upon contact with oil. This paste will detect almost any kind of oil including mineral oil, vegetable oil, animal oil and solvents such as benzol, alcohol, acrylic solution, alkaline solution and spirits.

So called ullage tape. Made of steel or stainless steel with a chromed brass drawing weight attached. Metric or metric and inch graduated tapes are available. The tapes are mounted to a strong frame with a wooden carrying handle. Tapes of lengths up to 50mtr are also available upon request.

13mm wide measuring tape available in linen, steel or stainless steel. The tape is easy to ravel and unravel and the metric graduations are clearly visible. The tape is contained in a black, vinyl laminated, metal case with a flush handle.

A handy gauge used for inspecting the center angles of the lathe and the angles of screw making tools. Available in 55 degree and 60 degree. Made of hardened steel.

Designed to quickly determine the pitch of nut, bolt, and screw threads.

Used for measuring main bearing clearance of marine engine. When the rod “S” has been pressed through the pipe “R” can be pushed away from the brass by further pressing on the rod “S” and when a distance “a” is obtained it is easy to feel the fit of the feeler in the clearance.

Similar to feeler or thickness gauges but with longer leaves in order to measure between the stator and coil of a generator.

Particularly popular with machinists and tool markers for gauging narrow slots as well as for adjusting the air gaps of valves on motors. The leaves are made of tempered steel and have the thickness marked on them. The gauges listed below are classified as A Type because they have straight leaves. Type B gauges with tapered leaves are also available upon request.
